Bio:

Ronny North plays his own signature brand of instrumental guitar rock and is fast becoming a So Cal guitar hero. He won the Best Male Guitarist Award at the 2006 All Access Magazine Music Awards and has appeared in or has been featured in several national and international music publications (MMR Magazine, Performer Magazine, Music Connection Magazine, Flash Magazine from Italy, Modern Guitar Magazine, Muen Magazine, Rock Thiz, Premier Guitar Magazine, All Access Magazine, Verde Valley Independent, and Fireworks Magazine from Europe and also on the Fireworks compilation CD that comes with the magazine). In April 2007, he was featured in Guitar Player Magazine where GP magazine head editor Michael Molenda said some very complimentary things about Ronny's playing. Ronny recently did a great feature interview with the Desert Entertainer Magazsine in July 2010. Ronny was honored with his own Ronny North Day at his old high school Norwalk High in Norwalk, California on April 7th,2009. On top of all that, Fox 11 TV News covered the event and featured Ronny and the kids live on TV. Ronny was also honored by his sponsor Morley Pedals to be the "Morley Pedals Artist of the Month for April 2009". On May 25th, he and his band played to thousands at the LA Marathon and on July 12th, they played the world famous Baked Potato to a packed house. On July 17th through July 19th, Ronny played everyday at the 2009 Summer NAMM in Nashville for several of his sponsors. Ronny kicked off 2010 by performing at the Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, California. One of the highlights of the show was when guitar great Gary Hoey joined Ronny and his band on the main NAMM stage on Jan 15th during their performance. Ronny and his band then played Nascar’s Stater Bros 300 Race in Feb, his new guitar instrumental CD “Light” was released in March 2010 , Ronny did a Japanese Tour in March and performed at the LA Marathon again on March 21st with his band. On April 18th Ronny and his band performed on the main stage at the 2010 Long Beach Grand Prix .He is regularly featured in ad campaigns and catalogs for his various sponsors. His music has been used for MTV's “Real World" reality TV program as well as on compilations for his various sponsors and charities. Ronny is a very popular clinician. He regularly does clinics and performs at trade shows throughout America for his various sponsors. It is not surprising that the industry has taken notice of Ronny and he is regularly sought out from music equipment manufacturers for his input on the development of new products. He's also become a very popular session guitarist and has recorded guitar parts for several major recording artists. With all of this exposure, Ronny regularly gets airplay and sells cds all over the world, which has lead to various live appearances on several radio shows, including KNAC.com (where he world premiered his brand new single “Tomorrow is Burning” live in their studios on October 25th, 2009), The Billy Moses Radio Show, VM Underground Radio, The Saturday Night Free For All Radio Show, Felix Stowe Radio (UK),The Best of Hair Radio, Hard Rocking Nights Radio Show, Yogi World Radio Show, Maximum Threshold Radio, and Radio Rock Café in Canada, just to name a few. He also just taped his first TV appearance as a guest star on the new reality show “All Worked Up”. The show starts airing in June 2010 on the Tru TV Network. Ronny has also taped a few video show appearances for Flash Rock Live, Ear Candy Cable Show, The Billy Moses Show on Time Warner Cable, and the Hot House New Music Tuesdays show and has made appearances on various radio shows for the troops. On top of all that, Ronny currently writes music columns for Guitar International Magazine (Psyko Guitar) and Insane Guitar Magazines and is a firm believer in using his music to help others. He has performed at the Special Olympics Summer Games for the last ten consecutive years. He has also played events for Toys for Tots, Support The Troops, Covenant House, Musicians in Need, Music Fest for the Troops, Save Lives Animals in Need, Veterans in Need, the Norwalk Unified School District, the Cancer Society, Tsunami Relief and the Haiti Quake victims (He played the Artists for Haiti Concert on Feb 27th,2010).
